The name Emmett Hennessey has attained iconic status in the broadcasting arena, a career which extends over a 30 year period and counting. A U.K national and a man of multiple talents he also dabbled in television and film acting during the early stages of his profession. Emmett later relocated to Trinidad where he married a fellow broadcasting icon, Allison Hennessey
He then furthered his career in the media world as a staff announcer on Radio Trinidad (T.B.C) in 1977, and eventually moved on to 95.1 fm a few years later where his voice became synonymous with the chart countdown segment on Saturday afternoons for a long standing 27 year period where he shared with his audience and fans a wealth of knowledge on the fluctuations and happenings on the International Billboard charts.
Emmett later shifted to Heartbeat Radio 103.5 in 2006 where he initially hosted a late-night program for a period of 10 months before moving to the afternoon drive time program “Heartbeat Street” where he still holds firmly”. He additionally hosts an early morning program on Saturdays & Sundays known as “Heartbeat Sunrise Weekend Edition”
One of his highlighted segments on Heartbeat Radio is the Country Western Hour where listeners can indulge in a selection of country western hits and classics. This exclusive hour gains a lot of audience attention due to its unique musical content.
Not only has Emmett charmed his audiences over the radio airways but also at numerous events and concerts which he may have hosted or performed live which includes world renowned artistes like Engelbert Humperdink, Kenny Rogers, Michael Bolton, Richard Marx, Peter Cetera, Air Supply and Rick Springfield.
